The Digital Tipping Point Retail: report reveals online shopping will reach 53% by 2028

A new age of retail has emerged over the last decade. This age is characterised by a richly textured digital landscape, buzzing with new technologies, devices and online communities which has gradually overshadowed analogue consumerism.

According to this new report in association with Retail Economicsonline shopping will account for more than 50% of retail sales in the next ten years.

The report reveals that this growth will be powered by three primary factors:

the changing demographic of the UK adult population, 

the development of faster, cheaper, in-home deliveries and 

fewer physical stores.
